Accessibility Statement

The Event Department, LLC, doing business as Event Dept., is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all visitors, clients, & partners.

1. Conformance Standard

We design, build, & test eventdept.co to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Just as we plan physical ADA accessibility and clear guest flow in every venue we produce, we engineer our digital presence to be perceivable, operable, understandable, & robust.

2. Accessibility Measures Built In

  • Semantic HTML & Landmarks: every page uses ordered headings with a single H1, landmark regions, & a visible skip-to-content link.
  • Color Contrast: our Charcoal (#242424), Bone (#F7F5F0), & Signal Yellow (#FFD54F) palette is paired to exceed WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratios, and Signal Yellow is never used as text on Bone.
  • Keyboard & Focus Navigation: all interactive controls, menus, accordions, & form fields are keyboard-operable with a 2px high-contrast focus ring and at least 44px target height.
  • Accessible Forms: every input has a visible label, explicit required/optional state, `aria-invalid` & error summary messaging, and screen-reader announcements.
  • Reduced Motion: animations & transitions respect your system `prefers-reduced-motion` setting.
