Privacy Policy

The Event Department, LLC, doing business as Event Dept., respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect on eventdept.co, how we use & protect it, and how you can exercise your privacy rights.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal & business information that you voluntarily provide when you submit our client application (/apply), contact form (/contact), or partner intake form (/partners). Depending on the form, this includes:

  • Contact details: your name, job title, company name, website, business email address, & phone number.
  • Project & company context: industry, annual revenue band, engagement model preference, event formats, budget band, timeline, & written notes.
  • Partner capabilities: venue capacity, markets served, services offered, & social links.
  • Technical & attribution metadata: referring page, UTM parameters, first & last landing page paths, spam-check tokens, and form completion timing.

2. Analytics & Measurement

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with Google Consent Mode v2 and Vercel Speed Insights to measure aggregate website traffic, page performance, & conversion flow. We never send your name, email address, phone number, or company name to Google Analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To review your application or inquiry and respond within 2 business days.
  • To prepare for intro calls, scope Brand Discovery engagements, & evaluate prospective venue, production, or sponsorship partners.
  • To send marketing emails or SMS/text messages only if you have explicitly checked the corresponding opt-in box, with the timestamp & consent wording version recorded in our database.
  • To protect our website & forms from automated spam, abuse, and unauthorized access.

4. SMS & Email Communications (TCPA & FTSA)

Opting into SMS/text messages or marketing emails on our forms is completely optional and is never a condition of applying, purchasing, or working with Event Dept. If you opt into SMS updates, message frequency varies and standard message & data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of SMS messages, or click Unsubscribe in any marketing email.

5. Service Providers & Processors

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with trusted infrastructure processors necessary to operate our site & respond to your requests:

  • Vercel: website hosting, edge routing, & real-visitor performance metrics.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: privacy-preserving bot & spam verification on our forms.
  • Supabase: encrypted Postgres database storage with row-level security denying public access.
  • Google: Google Analytics 4 (aggregate site measurement) & Google Workspace (business email).
  • Resend: transactional email notifications for form submissions.

6. Data Retention & Your Rights

We retain application, inquiry, & partner records for as long as needed to manage our business relationship or comply with legal obligations. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing privacy@eventdept.co.
